GreatestIPTV MAG Box Setup Guide

MAG boxes use Portal/MAC authentication method.

Important Notes

• ✗MAG boxes do NOT use username/password
• Require MAC address activation
• Portal URL must be configured
• No app installation needed (built-in streaming client)

Supported Models:

• MAG 250, 254, 256 (HD, older)
• MAG 322, 324 (Full HD)
• MAG 349, 351 (Full HD, Wi-Fi)
• MAG 410, 420, 425 (4K UHD)

You must provide MAC address to your provider for activation:

Method A - On Screen

1. 1Turn on your MAG box
2. 2Wait for full boot to main menu
3. 3Look at bottom of screen for MAC address

Method B - In Settings

1. 1Press 'Setup' on remote
2. 2Navigate to 'System Settings'
3. 3Select 'Device Info' or 'About'
4. 4Note the MAC Address — Format: 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX

Method C - Physical Label

1. 1Check sticker on bottom of box
2. 2Look for MAC address label

📧 Send MAC to Support:

• Contact support
• Provide MAC address for activation
• Wait for confirmation before proceeding

Configure your IPTV portal:

1. 1Press 'Setup' or 'Settings' on remote
2. 2Navigate to 'System Settings'
3. 3Select 'Servers' → 'Portals'
4. 4Select 'Portal 1' and press 'OK'
5. 5Enter portal details:

Portal 1 Name: My TV

Portal 1 URL: [Provided by your service]

• Must start with http:// or https://
• Include /c/ at end if specified
• Example: http://portal.example.com/c/
• NO extra spaces
• Case-sensitive

1. 1Press 'OK' to save
2. 2Navigate back using 'Back' or 'Exit'

• Type slowly and carefully
• Verify each character
• Portal URL is case-sensitive

Set NTP for correct EPG timing:

1. 1In Settings, go to 'General' section
2. 2Find 'NTP Server' field
3. 3Enter one of these: — pool.ntp.org (Global) — us.pool.ntp.org (North America) — europe.pool.ntp.org (Europe)
4. 4Press 'OK' to save

Why NTP Matters:

• Syncs box's clock with internet time
• Ensures EPG shows correct schedules
• Prevents time-based authentication issues

Activate your new portal:

Method A - Portal Restart

1. 1Press 'Exit' to return to main settings menu
2. 2Find 'Restart Portal' or 'Reload Portal'
3. 3Select and press 'OK'
4. 4Wait 30-60 seconds

Method B - Full Reboot

1. 1Unplug MAG box from power
2. 2Wait 10 seconds
3. 3Plug back in
4. 4Wait for full boot (30-60 seconds)

What to Expect

• Portal loads automatically on startup
• Channel groups appear
• Live TV accessible

• ✗If Error Appears:

• Verify MAC is activated (contact support)
• Check portal URL for typos
• Ensure NTP server is set
